It is amazing how you can just sit back and expect anyone to sympathize for these people and let alone give into the myth that illegal immigration helps the economy. You and others that support it are anti-American and racist, not us. Shame on you for trying to get more people on your side, murderer

What Carlos Isn't Telling
Sara, who plays Elana/Mercedes, wrote the argument between she and Teresa as a short story, which was awesome. I'm merely riffing on that.

Not really. I think it's been more the events of the game that have shaped his opinions and responses. I've been playing him as if he already had a Derangement with his obsessive behavior. Losing a point of morality when he tortured Little Frankie made sense, and even though he saved and didn't get a Derangement it did affect him and it will come out in the roleplaying choices I made. The only time I really rolled die to decide how to play Carlos was when he was about to execute Little Frankie and Ray was trying to talk him out of it. I rolled some dice for myself to make that decision, between Carlos' desire to remove this scumbag and his loyalty to Ray.

I like the Morality system, but I really look at it as a guideline. when I'm not sure which was to go, I'm going to refer to it for advice, basically. But I'm going to play the character they way it makes sense for the character to go in terms of story logic.

It’s “Montes” de Ocas…

Yeah, Carlos can't spell.

and I like how this dovetails

As you'll see over the next few posts, Carlos is tired of wrestling with his moral quandaries. It took him a long time to accept that the world isn't black and white, and he's getting comfortable with the concept that he isn't/doesn't have to be either.

It's "Montes" de Ocas...and I like how this dovetails naturally in with Roy's actual attitude towards Carlos, which was that he felt guilty about giving him up to the Department hounds when the time came, having been belittled by Carlos "you're too cowardly to go over the line" work attitude.

History repeats itself...

Made some edits, mostly for typos. Don't blog under the influence of prescription medication, boys and girls.

Another things you don't get from just reading this is that within the game itself Carlos isn't a "sharer". He doesn't talk about his feelings. He doesn't express his rage, he just puts on the cop face and beats people up. That's one of the reason I (and I think Jason and Ryan) get a kick out of this, is because I get to roleplay Carlos's "hidden side".
